A Unconventional Observation

One can’t avoid the unabridged extravagance of the political party’s in America in a time where their people are dying in thousands daily, millions out of work, typhoons devastating parts of the nation, and racial civil unrest at boiling point, and all the leaders focus is on showing who is winning the TV ratings.

The rationality of county and people first is non existent, it’s politics first, and having god on there side.

Apparently good people ?

America has and probably will always have the ethos of the The End always justifies the Means” be it politics, or the great American dream and its celebrated, selectively ignoring who or what was collateral damage getting to the top, and woe behold anybody who reminds or remembers those who have been unfortunate enough to be road kill on that journey to greatness.

To an outsider, an Australian, one who has a social conscience helps me draw comparisons between cultures with sometimes stark.

My country is no way pristine perfect, in fact it has dark history never spoken about, denied and obnoxious by those who choose to project or history as a colonial masterpiece.

Sound familiar? America had the same colonial founding, genocided their indigenous races, and destroyed any evidence of that holocaust,in fact celebrated it, and continued to do so. Australia exactly the same.

Now seeing the similarities of those who celebrate and profit, to those who choose to repair and build is remarkably the way the political parties philosophy’s line up in both nations.

All of the contenders espouse to be “The People’s Party” but that definition is absolute bullshit when you look at who sponsors the puppets they put in leather.

You all know what comes next so I won’t bore you with my left leaning opinions on political donations corrupting our governments on a daily basis, and why that influence must be diluted if a democracy is to be truly experienced by and for the people they “espouse” their party’s represent.

There is no doubt the world will go into a capitalist lead depression after the COVID-19 repercussion OR governments can adopt a people based economy where citizens well-being are put before the corporate monopoly’s.

If the latter is a option the corporate neoliberals will open the coffers with a onslaught of propaganda of tales of socialism, lawlessness, scare tactics similar to the present spin taking place in the lead up American election as we speak.

We cannot leave out the conspiracy sector that caters for the blissfully ignorant. Fuelled by boogie man stories many have not grown up from their bedtime stories as it’s often fits their IQ of batshit crazy.

Yes, media love their stupidity as it gives them a cheap headline and surprise , surprise the majority of it printed in the Murdock press.

In closing Trump has just finished his acceptance speech and to me without dissecting every word he said, the set he is standing on, the tone of the moment reminds me of a call to arms I’ve seen under the early Hitler movement. Bias no, recognising history could be repeating …. guilty ..

The Dog is Off, Sabbatical Over.

Since my local newspaper got the chop for Murdock I’ve had a bit of a rest from writing as I was a contributor to opinion writing in Letters to Editor and other little tasks to prompt thought outside the main stream media.

That break also give me time to rethink my sources of news and the way to get bio the meat of a story without the bullshit, hence I have moved away from TV and gone directly to radio, a once critical part of my upbringing.

Radio National ABC , along with my internet sources complete my morning intake locally and world wide give some a broad news without the need for personality opinion disguised as news.

My first issue of distain is the way our government is handling this #China syndrome of scare.

One of our biggest traders , clients China is vital to our industry especially our agriculture and food chains and the fact that America is having issues done not mean we have to play lap dog, even though our PM is mimicking every move #Trump does to appease.

Its obvious #Morrison is not a lateral thinker and playing bum boy to power is the way he has got the top job even though he won the election he never wanted to win is obviously agonising on having to use a socialistic principals to keep the nation afloat during the pandemic, actions that are at odds with is radical right wingers who see capitalism must survive at all costs, again mirroring Trump.

You will also notice his ability to play the leader of the national cabinet when decisions are made then send in his snipers to attack those decisions. A gutless act from a man who run away from responsibility in the bush fires, attacked premiers in the early stages of the pandemic for implementing safety measures to protect and play the political states game of blame, right down to the incompetence in the age care areas.

A leader he is not, a shady used car salesmen is more to his calling, and when it comes to accountability he hides under a rock along with his stooges, who under the Westminster Government rules should stand aside at least until incompetence or corruption is disproved.

Not under Morrison who regard it badge of honour, a right to use your public office to increase personal wealth directly or indirectly.

So will the Opposition do a better job?

Coming out of this pandemic will be a tough job regardless and we as a nation will need compassion as depending on the outcome in America will set the course for at what rate that recovery will take.

Its obvious now that Europe, China and Asia have parked up and are in wait and the isolationist policy’s of Trump will be trigger for the block to let America drown in its own sewerage if stays on Trumps present agenda.

That leaves Australia, NZ., Japan, Indonesia, block possibly increasing trade opportunities and that not leaving China out either..

That will test any government in the wake of a possible depression.

Anyway that decision is in the hands of the American people come November as it has the voice to stay in track and have a head on with itself, or take a side track before collision and run out of rail.

What a choice, delusional old men trying to stay relevant regardless of which party you vote or not.

Sadly until some vision from the younger Americans is given a chance America will not avoid a calamity that emulates Hiroshima and Nagasaki without the bomb, on a larger scale all self inflicted.

Federal ICAC to Oversee Judicial Appointments.

It has been a well known in the legal profession that bullying and misogyny is common within its culture, so the revelations of the a Chief Justice has been called out by a independent investigation.

His controversial appointment and alliance to the conservative government is on the record, a situation that brings our justice system into a focus for all the wrong reasons.

I am a firm believer judicial appointments must be isolated from political influence or intervention, and have a body similar to a federal ICAC oversee all judicial appointments, state and federally.

Our justice system can never be allowed to follow the American path, and should never be a tool of any political whim or payback.

I am very concerned about the wedge politics played by this government, playing state against state in Covid crisis, the mirroring of American racial attitudes emerging here in Australia, and our government responses truly Trumpian be it ministers or backbenchers.

With our media opinion taking a higher profile than factual reporting, our fallback legal professions independence and faith in the system cannot be compromised by political noise or propaganda regardless of who you support, so I see no reason why Judicial Appointment should not be a part of a Federal ICAC which this government promised last election and still have failed to act on.

That’s not surprising is it?

He Who Pays the Piper, Selects the Tune.

News is in the headlights of late and as the organisation’s bid for our gold coin per day we the public must also look at the quality we are being served up.

I’m on the record for being in favour of balanced and investigative journalism across the board and fortunate enough to have the time to be able to source different outlets world wide and my concerns about what is truth are growing.

Our news sources are diminishing and centralising, our national broadcaster is being defunded buy a thousand cuts, and extreme groups are infiltrating the talking heads who impersonate professional journalists, no wonder it becomes just too hard for joe citizen to find the illusive truth and turns off.

It’s red alert when media groups hold fund raising events for political party’s, when journalists are arrested for doing their job, when investigative journalism is regarded as a enemy of the state, and politicians run to politically friendly news services to avoid scrutinisation, we have to ask is this the way a democracy works or are we on the soft fascism road and no ones game to ask?

Loss of democracy moves slowly, feeding on apathy, as once we could regard media as the watchdog, but today that dog has too many masters, and we the punters are left making the decision who really is telling truth and who has a agenda to gain power in a government of their choice?

America, on the Highway to Hell. (Opinion)

Daily we on the outside can watch the antics of the politicians, the media, the cross cultural reactions and responses portrayed on whatever slanted media you want to suit your view.

It’s more interesting to go outside America to view the coverage of truly international sources and see non partisan journalism analyse and deliver copy without the complications of sponsors withdrawing funds from a network for example.

Such is America, every facet of their society having to facilitate their existence by sponsorship of some kind. Health, Politicians, law enforcement, education, Judges, States, their entire existence built on a capitalistic system which once served them well, now is being used as a weapon against its people and health.

Also, the ingrained culture of individualism, my rights, my freedoms, me,me me,the great American dream crawling over everyone and everything regardless of any ethics is admired, worshipped in fact, a culture that is vividly displayed in its discipline against Covid-19.

I’ll make it quite clear I have no, REPEAT NO time or respect for Trump or Biden, both in my mind are dangerous to the health of the nation in these times of absolute turmoil the nation is suffering, so much so it like selecting the bullet or the needle on which way you chose to die. Both senile old men, portraying they have the silver bullet to save America from it demise. Even if they change in November nothing will change the corrupt system of divide and conquer.

The saddest thing in fact is the people have no idea how a government for the people really works, and have been conditioned for that to be some sort of leftist communist plot, dumbed down by both sides to keep their arses in leather. Free medical, hospitalisation, and medications, the basic need for a population to survive in the richest country in the world (That’s America’s own Propaganda Spin) could be done but for the influence of big profit making companies who are sponsoring the politicians who are on the take openly accepting cash to keep the status quo.

Just imagine a Crime and Corruption investigation as in Australia into American politicians across the nation. Where would you start? They would have to build new jails first.

To the present, between now and November it’s my assumptions of what May evolve into certain scenarios

.1 Trump will ramp up the pressure so the blacks will not be able to turn out to vote.

2 In a short time Trump will activate his Cult to counteract public discourse and you will have civil conflict elevated to a point of war, a survival tactic for him, and I think the politicians will be too scared to act.

3 Covid 19 in the background will kill over a 2 million Americans and it will happen quicker as he will downplay its spread as political democratic plot.

4 Biden will loose and a political vacuum will be created as Germany where any opposition to government and media will be outlawed and rule by declaration will apply, and the politicians will be too scared to act.

5 Biden wins and by the time it takes to re invent the new administration, settle the riots of the Trump Cult, and Lefties, and then Covid 19 is out of control and looking at 3million deaths he will declare a national state of emergency and have to have troops on the street, and it goes on from there.

A failed state, with a government structure that cannot facilitate any resurrection and to be quite honest will have to hit the absolute bottom, and then and only then will it be able to make America great again, but in a totally different way where it’s people are it’s biggest asset not it’s dollars.

In world terms, while all this unrest is taking place the world has bypassed Trump and is making its own arrangements, and again the people are blindsided by his hat logo.. as did Hitler with his logo and I might add it’s amazing Trump has declared ANTIFA a terrorist organisation..

History Lesson, check Google, ANTIFA (ANTI FASCIST) was formed in the 1930’s to fight against Mussolini, Hitler, and other fascists despots and being them to justice internationally. Used by America in the Nuremberg trials, and is ongoing around the world so its clear Trump and his media support fascism, America style, obviously, and that should make that public.

In saying that, the parasites that are doing the looting and burning need to be identified, and charged. There agenda is anarchy, which is a right wing cause if history serves me correct, (English riots as we speak) but can be both.

Keep the Electric Fence on our Boarders.

In these different times to some and others indifferent my observations of my fellow humans is becoming frustrating to say the least.

A visit to my local bakery and on arrival all customers were observing the distance markers and progressing in a respectful fashion and in walks a lady with a kid past people waiting outside and both totally ignorant of others protocols.

Before full lockdown was declared we had the grey nomads in their vans rat running at night to avoid the government requests to stay put in their parks and police, so age is not a benchmark for stupidity levels.

New Zealand has recognised Queensland’s effort as a world standard and prepared to enter a travel bubble, irking those states with lower performance rates to try and drag us down by opening the borders and us to their failed government decisions like the Ruby Princess.

It’s quite obvious the federal government like Trump see business first and lives second and is playing classic wedge politics, supported by its slanted media outlets to spin its dollar driven agenda.

We Queenslanders have done the hard yards well before the Federal Government and the other states penny dropped and yes the capitalistic system has failed and we have fallen into the socialistic safety net, truly irking those who think their world of everything has a price, and lives are part of that price.

Murdock Butchers our Local Newspapers

For those who are not so News aware the Murdock Press has made the decision to cease all hard copy news papers to the regional and country areas across Australia and go digital.

This action in effect sends the little and older generations into news darkness as many have no IT or basic computer knowledge.

This may have been self inflicted by some granted as they refused to grow with the times and others unable to grow due to educational limits.

With all that’s said, the facts are people will loose the fabric that binds smaller communities together, a lifestyle that is incomprehensible to the self centred generations living their little boxes with make believe acquaintances online, many unable to communicate face or face let alone read and comprehend a news article.

A bit savage you may think? Yes but truthful and if you need proof, spend a hour or two on a polling booth and see humanity in its raw form doing something that should effect their lives and their family’s.

You will be amazed at the ignorance not only of the political systems but of general manners expected of a human being.

That said as true to form as you can get from Murdock the said they’d keep regional and small papers on takeover from APN and they lied, nothing new again from these bottom feeders of toxic text, and they will expect you to buy the Courier Mail if you want a hands on paper which in fact is nothing more than a LNP newsletter as I have stated many times and subedited out or simply consigned to the junk mail.

Truth and Murdock should never be put in the same sentence, as you now know from their actions.

In my case my editorial days may be limited as many times before my View does not sit with the owners ideology and I have been extremely lucky to have a editor who still feels balanced reporting is a key factor in a democracy, but like the QT she too is moving and many of the contributors may join me in the junk mail due to our views clashing with the owners ideology also.

That’s life but it does not help those who have been thrown into darkness, those businesses who’s adds were accessible freely will not have a presence of picking up a paper, the sporting body who wants any press to help them survive, the cocky who wants the cattle prices, the auctioneer, the church, the garage sale, and you can go on all gone to the iPad or smart phone of the fortunate.

To be honest I’m looking at community radio as a service, not a competitive entity but NFP (non for profit) organisation and any other media stream APP to try and compensate the losses, and any ideas please fill in at the bottom of this blog. Also Periscope the live App has been mentioned.

And I cannot close without mentioning the silence of the Hanson’s, the Katters, the Nationals all supposed to represent country people but obviously terrified to upset their puppet master Murdock, their absolute silence says why we as a nation need to govern ourselves for ourselves not run the agenda of a non tax paying overseas jerk , but not one of the conservatives have the guts to call him out. Lazy Journalism, Lazy Thinkers.

It’s easy when your confined to spaces to adopt the easy convenient way to get your daily dose of whatever and has the potential to make you a lazy thinker.

It times such as this it’s the media, the information hub, should be out their delivering broad expansive reporting on issues that are impacting on our new way of life but it’s just not happening.

Our news is becoming narrower and repetitive especially within our nation and like in America where the trend is playing one state against another to make news, to make controversy, create sides, to manipulate conversations and interviews to look for the sound bite to start the next cycle of cynicism.

Like many at my age TV ,radio, are the prominent deliverers of doom nowadays and we are turning off I believe. Once balanced reporting was a ethical requirement, now it’s a treasure as some of us wish to make up our own minds instead of being told what to think.

I frequent news outlets worldwide without political bias to get perspective on important stories and when returning to home the political spin is easily identifiable, something you miss by remaining in the news bubble.

It’s important for us to explore information or we will end up dumbed down as a population, fertile ground for the peddling of conspiracies and falsehoods and that can start with good honest hard hitting journalists that hold their ground in the scrum and persist without fear of reprisal in any form.

At the risk of being told I know nothing again abut America one can only surmise that the once greatest nation in the world ,if you listen to the them, that is is crashing into a totally failed state. #Failure

I appreciate they were totally disenchanted with politics after Obama, and they punished themselves by jumping on the Trump train OR were that that lethargic they thought Clinton would shit in and didn’t bother to get off their arse to vote.

Either way they would have elected a fraud. #Failure

No doubt Clinton was the establishmentarian puppet and following Obama would be a tough act to follow. Looking at the Obama stint one thing is certain, Americans broadly could not accept a black president event though he was a Blue the undertones within his own party reflected a racial culture deeply Imbedded, and how he completed his tenure without a attempt on the life’s of him or his family was remarkable.

No one can imagine, even the media the internal networks that have vested interests in both sides so it’s the average Joe Citizen runs a solid last when it comes to the earning a priority from government, yet they reject any government support in health or wellbeing as some sort of socialist plot exemplified by fact government has outsourced responsibility to big businesses who sponsor their election campaigns. Personally I see no way out in the near future. Politically I believe Trump will continue as Biden is a absolute #Failure as a person, a politician, and a leader,and should never be the nomination but that’s America #Failure in itself and while they continue to elect senile old men to their congress and presidency the nation will be continually locked in the past as by keeping there outdated constitutional beliefs waiting for the British to re invade.

The Republicans will eventually tire or he of them and he will move to his own Party or Cult to survive and mobilise his followers to a civil rebellion if he looks like being defeated, and who would back Biden not getting the nomination at the big conference and them accept a nomination from the floor. Wow the odds of that are about as far out as Trump starting a war to deflect the masses when the true death toll of #covid_19 is revealed.

We are all updated daily if not hourly on how the Covid -19 battle is going at home and with our trading partners little media is being give to the poorest and less higher profile nations fight against the virus.

This is a vital mistake and oversight not only will it keep the virus alive worldwide but it time will effect every manufacturing process and eventually our national supply

All manufacturing process start with the basic minute product at the start of the chain and many of those poor nations supply and manufacture those basic products at sweat shop rates.

If the virus become rampant in those nations that link ceases to exit and the chain slows or dies effecting basically every item we use.

We have all become aware that our workers, the truck-loaders, drivers , shop assistants, cleaners are vital to our survival and these poorer nations products and services are critical to the manufacturing process so it’s in our own interested, particularly the more affluent nations to support these struggling ones for our own benefit.

Unfortunately in the past the narrow views of foreign aid has been apolitical football for the ignorant, now that self interest will come back and bite us.
