Self Monuments are Inappropriate

It’s refreshing to see our Mayor and new councillors reviewing the policy and habit of past councillors erecting monuments to themselves.

To be clear and contrary to many beliefs they are public servants and they work for is ratepayers, we are the boss, an pay them to perform, and before the tribal followers of past servants erupt I would encourage them to look up Ipswich City Council Conduct Register and they may discover some furphies they’ve swallowed we’re not fact.

The commission chose not to peruse complaints if the councillor indicated or swore they would not seek re-election as I imagine a cost saving decision for the ratepayers legality and labour, certainly not a get out of jail free card as portrayed by some.

As I have stated it’s sad to that all past councillors were swept up in the sterilising process of the CCC as some were new and naive to the “Culture” but that ignorance should never happen again as long as full Corporate Governance is applied and monitored independently.

Lazy Journalism, Lazy Thinkers.

It’s easy when your confined to spaces to adopt the easy convenient way to get your daily dose of whatever and has the potential to make you a lazy thinker.

It times such as this it’s the media, the information hub, should be out their delivering broad expansive reporting on issues that are impacting on our new way of life but it’s just not happening.

Our news is becoming narrower and repetitive especially within our nation and like in America where the trend is playing one state against another to make news, to make controversy, create sides, to manipulate conversations and interviews to look for the sound bite to start the next cycle of cynicism.

Like many at my age TV ,radio, are the prominent deliverers of doom nowadays and we are turning off I believe. Once balanced reporting was a ethical requirement, now it’s a treasure as some of us wish to make up our own minds instead of being told what to think.

I frequent news outlets worldwide without political bias to get perspective on important stories and when returning to home the political spin is easily identifiable, something you miss by remaining in the news bubble.

It’s important for us to explore information or we will end up dumbed down as a population, fertile ground for the peddling of conspiracies and falsehoods and that can start with good honest hard hitting journalists that hold their ground in the scrum and persist without fear of reprisal in any form.

Why is it that whenever you think we as a nation are getting some sort of consensus some see it advantages to seek to divide?

Its beyond my recall when our states and federal governments has put politics aside yet we have examples of late where the true characters of some who need conflict to elevate their flailing or failed profiles.

I will not back away from the fact our State Government has undergone surgery and reshuffles and resignations have taken place locally as is done by all of Political parties in their tenure as government and we were reminded when a former State Member and now Somerset councillor rose from his Ipswich hideaway to weight in on fractional pranks, a game he played and lost in his one term debacle under Cambell Newman.

Then we have Mr Christensen the self appointed Foreign Minister who when he is in the country declares takes aim at our biggest export nation China without thinking things like international diplomacy protocols exist and the fallout of that ignorance. Totally out of his pay grade, and intellectual capacity.

Then we have Mr Dutton, the cruise ship king lecturing a treasurer on the quantitive steps to keep Queenslanders employed and Tourists industries fluid, and outback air service retained after himself failing to count his own caucus to see if he had the numbers to challenge for PM, a Mr. Bean masterstroke.

If we are to build back faith in our political processes and democracy we could start by sticking to your appointed day job, serving your constitiuents well and not grandstanding.

Why America, Why??

At the risk of being told I know nothing again abut America one can only surmise that the once greatest nation in the world ,if you listen to the them, that is is crashing into a totally failed state. #Failure

I appreciate they were totally disenchanted with politics after Obama, and they punished themselves by jumping on the Trump train OR were that that lethargic they thought Clinton would shit in and didn’t bother to get off their arse to vote.

Either way they would have elected a fraud. #Failure

No doubt Clinton was the establishmentarian puppet and following Obama would be a tough act to follow. Looking at the Obama stint one thing is certain, Americans broadly could not accept a black president event though he was a Blue the undertones within his own party reflected a racial culture deeply Imbedded, and how he completed his tenure without a attempt on the life’s of him or his family was remarkable.

No one can imagine, even the media the internal networks that have vested interests in both sides so it’s the average Joe Citizen runs a solid last when it comes to the earning a priority from government, yet they reject any government support in health or wellbeing as some sort of socialist plot exemplified by fact government has outsourced responsibility to big businesses who sponsor their election campaigns. No it’s not corrupt at all, trust them, so I fully understand their attitude. A #Failure in human rights as not all can be privileged to have any Health cove so they will die in the gutter.

By keeping the masses dumbed down, a state that is easy when you control the media coverage into minimal outlets all within America you can sell the masses like mushrooms in the dark and feed them bullshit., particularly when you have a illiteracy rate numbering higher than the entire Australian population. I won’t go down the road of equality to all because that is a impossible dream, be it equal rights for women, races, sexes even religions, educating the masses and cultures is enormous but our country Australia #Failure gets a #Failure that category if the truth is known.

This virus however has highlighted the fact Trump has Mental health issues magnified by the heat in the kitchen, exposing a psychopath with split personalities and actions and whoa behold anybody who gets in the way of a personality governed by a poll or media report or a professional who tells truth to the masses in contradiction to his spin. A #Failure sheer basic democracy that extends to what will be genocide as a result of sheer incompetence.

So what of the future or the way forward for the Trumps Titanic ?

Personally I see no way out in the near future. Politically I believe Trump will continue as Biden is a absolute #Failure as a person, a politician, and a leader,and should never be the nomination but that’s America #Failure in itself and while they continue to elect senile old men to their congress and presidency the nation will be continually locked in the past as by keeping there outdated constitutional beliefs waiting for the British to re invade.

The Republicans will eventually tire or he of them and he will move to his own Party or Cult to survive and mobilise his followers to a civil rebellion if he looks like being defeated, and who would back Biden not getting the nomination at the big conference and them accept a nomination from the floor. Wow the odds of that are about as far out as Trump starting a war to deflect the masses when the true death toll of #covid_19 is revealed.

We are all updated daily if not hourly on how the Covid -19 battle is going at home and with our trading partners little media is being give to the poorest and less higher profile nations fight against the virus.

This is a vital mistake and oversight not only will it keep the virus alive worldwide but it time will effect every manufacturing process and eventually our national supply

All manufacturing process start with the basic minute product at the start of the chain and many of those poor nations supply and manufacture those basic products at sweat shop rates.

If the virus become rampant in those nations that link ceases to exit and the chain slows or dies effecting basically every item we use.

We have all become aware that our workers, the truck-loaders, drivers , shop assistants, cleaners are vital to our survival and these poorer nations products and services are critical to the manufacturing process so it’s in our own interested, particularly the more affluent nations to support these struggling ones for our own benefit.

Unfortunately in the past the narrow views of foreign aid has been apolitical football for the ignorant, now that self interest will come back and bite us.

Let’s be The Adults and Not Play The Blame Game.

Like on the farm you just have to accept animals do what they do as part of life. In politics it’s the same. 

In a world that is in kayos, millions being infected and death now accepted as  the norm, some of our illustrious leaders are looking for blame. 

Waisting  vital political oxygen on it where the focus should be on survival of their citizens shows they just can’t get away from their own personal politics of political survival first. 

There will be plenty of time later to do the risk assessments and cause and effect processes but now it’s time  leadership and bi partisan behaviour at the highest level. The infantile behaviour of Trump trying to deflect his incompetence mirrors a Romper Room episode gone bad, yet it seems our government wants to join his sandpit as a show of lapdog solidarity. 

We should stand with the adults in the room and get on with sticking process that so far is saving lives but this movement by our foreign minister sends the cynics a clear message that we may follow America in trading our standards of protection off for capital gain regardless of lives lost. 

We are a intelligent race us Aussies so let’s not get ahead of the game, beat the virus first then rebuild our economy and social structures with zest from the bottom up.

I’m am not a supporter of any political side in America, and to be quite honest I think both Trump and Biden should be in nursing homes. Both verging on senility, one a psychopath who changes personality as the polls or the wind blows, the other stumbling and old man who I find dodgy to say the least.

Trump has no social conscience only self preservation and would have no problem abandoning ship and leaving the people to die if the polls or Fox indicated he would somehow gain in PR or politically.

I think the Titanic photo about nails his personality and reactions to a tee and the lower demonstrates his ability to keep the American people dumbed down.

I was totally devastated to see who’s is happening, but after siding with the dissenters on separation he signed the nations death warrant now I feel nothing can stop America from apocalyptic genocide of itself and all you can do is watch it happen in slow motion and record.

I am quite comfortable saying if Trump had decisions on who to live he would have no hesitation to decide by political affiliations, ethnicity, religion, or whatever his whim is at they particular moment as they did in Auschwitz-Birkenau.

History is live and free and Trump is the “Best Captain of the Titanic ask anyone.”

Putting on my alfoil hat and at the risk of being called a mad left wing greeny, I would like to make some sense out of this blame game the politicians are playing on how the covid19 originated to cover why they did not act timely enough to protect their populations.

China, the World Health Organisation, Europe, Bats, plus anything else has been clung to to deflect accountability but in my view that is the effect not the cause.

Mother Nature since day one has provided a space where all of us can survive on this planet, animals, humans,the entire life cycle insulated from each other by distance, and filtered by the natural forests, bush, woods all over the planet . That filter also balances and blocks the flow of cross contamination between species and it’s not rocket science when the filters get destroyed the chances of exotic diseases forming rises. Link that with the decreasing food shortages around the globe humans are sourcing the wild animals that were never on the human food chain out of necessity to survive.

As all the ducks line up in that chain we continue to clear and destroy habitats which in fact is providing the platform for our own demise.

The real question is after this will we learn or will we put survival ahead of the Dow?

I live in hope but looking at the imbeciles who cannot comprehend the present restrictions put in place for our immediate survival how will they have the intelligence to look past themselves let alone the planet.

Watching History is Confronting

Being in lockdown does give you time to watch, research, question, and think about our place in the scheme of things locally, nationally and internationally, that’s is if you choose to move out of your bubble.

For many it’s easier to just turn on, believe, press the share button or talking head and not think of what you’re actually doing as it sounded good for that millisecond you saw it.

History tells us many dictators/tyrants use that initial reaction to indoctrinate their populations and build on via propaganda to convince the populous to fall into line. Hitler, Stalin are the big examples but many more less notables have played the same cards using nationalism right or left as their key ingredient.

So lets look at the leaders in real time starting with our own Scotty Morrison who has discovered like a bolt from his god that there are people outside his bubble that actually keep his business mates in business. Workers are not collateral damage anymore they have become important and without them his mates will fold.

Overall his reaction has been a credible response as PM but the full credit must go to the state Premiers who have become the real national leaders in this fight to save lives. They are the leaders regardless of political alliances.

NZ have a brilliant PM and she saved her nation from what could have been the total destruction of their population.

Merkel another decisive leader who moved quickly and saved millions.

Johnson dithered now the hammer is falling on his people.

Italy and France just missed the boat and the inevitable will play out it will run its course.

So now Trump. What a classic clusterfuck is all that it can be described as. Sorry for the language but that’s it.

When a leader of a nation cannot distinguish between politics and science the outcome will never be good.

People will die for his Dow. He is putting his political future ahead of his people he is supposed to protect but unfortunately his limited mentality only sees politics as his decision maker. IF your a good boy he likes you, if your naughty boy he hates you and that simplistic childish view is accrue to his upbringing as a spoiled little rich mommies boy with all the big new toys in the sand pit.

He hasn’t moved past that grade 5 litterary level in body and mind and America is in danger not only from the virus but I can see this splitting of people will result in genocide of the lower demographics be allowed to occur as a economic strategy to save the rich and elite.

His brainpower does not extend past his political survival and will continue to play divide and rule and if that’s when a country that is 2 months behind the rest of the world in reaction time and he is withholding and telling them a silver bullet is on its way is verging on what could be regarded as a war crime against his own community.

At this point I declare i am not a supporter of any side as I feel their entire system of public care, social consciousness is non existent. They have been attuned to crawling over anyone to get to the top. Money, acquisitions , then power is the sign of success and how you got it is irrelevant and that will be their downfall as they will never be able to adjust to social responsibilities as it would infringe on their so called “freedom” .

Looking at the future the choices leaders is horrific. Two senile old men, one a creepy groping peodiphile and the other simplistic child in a mans body parading as world champion wrestler in his fake hair, tan and plastic belt.

I truly feel sorry for the real people, the intelligent people who must be scared for their lives and their family, as common logic and truth will be overridden by the flood of propaganda that is to come when the real wave hits.

I love where I Live and we can whinge and complain but distance is our friend in these times locally, state wise, and nationally and internationally.

Apart from giving Margaret (My Dear Wife) he never ending shits and over watching world news its a good time to relax and look at the real picture on seeing how our elected leaders are performing around the world .

Yes I do have about 10 daily sources of news both radio and TV that I scan and have been for many years so I know the biases and blemishes they all have when you compare regardless of my political views which are very socially slanted towards the people rather than the establishment.

After establishing that you can see why my views clash at times with those that are more self centred and think anyone who thinks off the liberal centre is some sort of a mad leftie or even a communist.

And yes my family history have had proudly “Reds Under The Bed” members who fought hard for the little man during post war and beyond for conditions we still enjoy today but were demonised then.

So through those eyes of my grandparents i have grown to appreciate how our politicians are performing.

I will start with our own Mr. Morrison who’s news conferences are more frequent now but to us after his performance in the bush fires the people don’t forget his inaction and non empathetic approach until disgraced into coming home from his holiday in Hawaii, then took up his old Scotty From Marketing himself and now that smirk leaves us with about as trustful as a crocodile in season. His focus on the economic consequences before the human consequences is typical of his ideology and was dragged kicking and screaming to take a remedy the Labor Party were screaming months before, a position lam-blasted for years by the Blue Ties as Socialist.

How the worm turns.

And talking of worms better called grubs brings me to Mr. Donald Trump who now has decided to put his country onto a war footing miraculously TODAY a strategy where he can stop by decree all elections and keep himself in power until that emergency is declared stopped.

His total incompetence will make the great American Fuck UP on Pearl Harbour look like a Picnic in the park.

One last thing to ponder is Republicans should not be taking the cash splash as that’s a SOCIALIST ACTION OR THEY WOULD BE TOTAL HYPOCRITES as they have denied the population free health and kept their Drug Companies and Health Care Industries pockets filled and starved the frontline hospitals the ability to treat all human beings the basic right of life.
