Born in 1950, I’ve seen how we have progressed from science, medically, industrially, socially, and seen how our standard of living progress at the speed of light.

I’ve been blessed having leaders the standard of Whitlam, Frazer, Killen, Daily, and many others not necessarily of my political beliefs but people with leadership qualities, so when I hear or read old men such as me run away from the hard questions the young or younger ask , then take up the autocratic pose when the hard truth are spoken it a attempt to bully, it goes against the standards we were taught in our youth. That’s what separates Australians from the rest,

So when I see the present so called political leaders refuse or run from answering questions on causes real life tragedies like the fires that are devastating our country, or other weather events totalling dodging the elephant (Climate) and highlighting on what they are doing for the “result”not the “cause” then and throw in a few biblical quotes for affect.

We’ve seen this strategy played out hundreds of times in America after a gun massacre and no one is allowed to question the cause at the time as they regard it disrespectful to the dead or injured and its duly forgotten till the next blood bath and the politicians cower down to the interest groups who give them their leather seats

Well this time it’s changed I reckon. The youth in this country will not be conned by the corrupt establishment any more, and nor will the media. Proactive instead of reactive action is the order not the request and if it’s too hard for those on office they will be removed as the ground rules have changed, and the more governments try to oppress or dismiss the bigger the push becomes.

Yes “the times they are a changing”as Dylan wrote and its the political parasites who have to move over and leave it to the real leaders who care about the people not conglomerates.

That is a human habit can be seen since our PM has returned from Trumpsville Washington markedly in the foreign affairs, defence, social conscience, and right down to the weaponise the media making selective interviews and refusing to answer questions the people have a right to know.

I can’t imagine any PM taking a Spiritual Advisor who is under scrutiny expecting him to become part of a national delegation representing all Australians and then refusing to answer any questions when the hosts reject his attendance.

Secondly when the senior partner of a alliance abandons the people who fought alongside of our troops picks up his toys and goes home without notice, refuses to even question the action, which in fact opens the door to a resurgence and another mass extinction as long as it’s done humanly as his American mate describes, is accepted without question is inconceivable

What else on earth has our PM agreed to turn a blind eye to has to be asked and I’ll assure you he won’t answer.

We are at the early stage of Trump tactics of keeping the media away from any scrutiny and only releasing/ answering to friendly outlets, and that strategy was. Highlighted with the raids on journalists and silencing of whistle blowers.

The Trump doctorine is creeping in to our PM’s rhetoric and actions along with the baseball cap so we must call on our media and support them to call out, ask the hard questions without prejudice under the umbrella of true democracy and accountability of those in public office regardless of how high up they think they are.

Another media scramble, more accusations on political donations, and all we can hear is the sound of cash registers of the legal profession as loud as the F16 over West Ippy.

Like it or not the CCC in Queensland are doing a job of public transparency and shaking the trees of our elected or public appointees if they smell a rat, and rightly so, therefore I am completely astounded why this Federal Government is so dead against a Federal ICAC while the rest of Parliament see it as common sense..

Not often do you witness a political party under scrutiny itself call for greater powers to weed out corruption, fraud, or other offences at the highest level which begs the question of why this Federal Government wants to block it.

It fought doggedly against the Bank Enquiry, the investigation into Child Abuse in the Churches and other monumental cases all of which proved wrongdoing at the highest level and still would have been thriving if let be.

Yes that rat is smelling more and more the longer this government tries to delay its being and like all the other instances the chook will come home to roost.

Would Female Leaders make the World Safer?

Hang on world I want to get off. Thats what many may be thinking looking at the way the leaders of the most influential countries are performing in their roles as leaders.

Trump thinks America is just a economy forgetting it’s also has people and social structure, Britain has moved to close debate on a exit it’s not sure what are the real ramifications. Hong Kong is fighting for its right to just be itself as you were, while Israel and Iran are goading each other seeing who can gain the power in the sand pit. China and Korea have plans that do not align with the rest of the world based on self interest and in every case the leaders are male.

If history is not to be repeated and world conflict can be avoided we have to look at who are the best political negotiators are women in the majority of cases And will always reach compromise sooner with better or amiable outcomes.

Politics aside Britain’s T. May was ejected for not achieving a outcome she herself did not vote for but her effort goes unchallenged while Hong Kong’s lady is driving a agenda not of her making both outstanding performers driving a agenda not of their own beliefs. That’s politics in its rawest form unfortunately but I believe if we had more women as world leaders the debates on the major points of contention would not escalate any where near quick. and our world would be safer, but unfortunately males at the highest level are of aggressive culture and seem comfortable in intimidating rather than intellectual behaviour which brings into question are they right fit for the job of leaders for today’s world ?

Our Clueless Government.

If you believe the blue tie spin is on the money you’ve got it right. It’s all about money and the working people of Australia are running a poor second.

No wonder this government was shocked to retain power as that was the last thing it wanted. Forecasters and our own banking regulators were predicting our economy is crashing and all this government could do is hold up its surplus flag as a badge of honour justifying keeping people not only in poverty on New Start but forcing people to have multiple jobs to survive and having the audacity to claim a 4 hour shift is a full time job.

Our nations reputation in the pacific region is in tatters as once our friendly neighbours realise the fact this government is the puppet of the mining and climate deniers and we cannot be depended on as we were in the past. We dropped the ball and China has marched on in endangering our sovereignty.

The sad fact is this government has no game plan when it comes to a recession other than blaming the trade union movement and our failing regional leadership which leads us to a situation similar to Trumps America on it’s downward spiral of isolationism.

It can’t manage a slowing world economy and its ideology won’t allow it by giving the lower demographics wage increases and living standard incentives which saved us from the last world economy crisis.

If and when the crunch comes this government will do its best to escape the situation it put us in by finding a conflict to support or another distraction and if America is involved we should be worried even more.

Class War is exactly What it is.

It’s pretty clear the present federal government is in a position it never thought it would be and all its past would be forgotten and would have been quite happy to be in opposition watching Labor cope with a crumbling economy on the verge of recession, retail and wage stagnation accompanied by increased poverty and working poor and don’t start me on health.

All of the above in their eyes is acceptable as long as that phantom surplus is announced with the one and only policy of the ends justifying the means.

In ipswich alone we have destitute people living out of charity food trucks and barns feeding families and many not on the streets yet but just surviving in any accomodation they can.

This government has to think if giving a person food and a shower to get them off New Start will impact on their mantra of achievement. What a mantra to carry, watching its own people starve and die in squalor, yet having the power and resources help but choosing to give cash to people who are quite comfortable.

It seems to be a crime not only here in Australia but in America too to have a social conscience or empathy with the fear of being branded a socialist yet it is politically and socially acceptable to give money and incentives and hand outs to high end tax evaders who can afford to manipulate the system, call them astute, while we see wage theft becoming a minor inconvenience when caught and not a civil crime.

If the politicians have difficulty or fear backlashes by calling it Class War then so be it but I will call as I see it.

The Three Stooge Act now Complete

It would be totally inappropriate to describe what has developed a three stooge act.

The three stooges were a deliberate comedy act but what we have been dealt with is far from a comedy.

The team sheet we have been dealt with could not be less impressive in regards to Trump, Morrison and now Johnson reeks of the toxic masculinity of baseball cap wearing thumbs up, “how good is this” antics of coal hugging ,fish kissing and female groping males who’s skills in schoolyard bullying have amplified in their political careers.

These bozo boys are now in charge of our nations and we must ask how we allowed this to happen. Look at leaders, great leaders regardless of political slant that have gone before. Former men and women had charisma,, intellect, and decorum of whom I will not name as a mark of balanced opinion but stand unchallenged at home and worldwide.

This present crew doesn’t make the reserve bench, and in times when leadership, political astuteness and world financial and military astuteness is critical to world peace none of these come equiped as their focus is on internal political survival and popularity stunts.

I’m sure our competitors Russia ,China, and other merging superpowers are watching on with great interest and looking for opportunities to manipulate the present political players and landscape and I live in hope that other world leaders outside this boys club maintain the standards expected to keep us away from world unrest where no one wins.

Some One Had To Fight.

Another person did not make it home after a days work as the toll rises.

Cast your mind back to when this government was screaming for minister resignations when the pink bats issue was the issue yet the rise under their watch goes unspoken.

Fact is they have to make a decision on who to support. The profit of the coal magnates or the Safety of the Workers.

They cut the red tape on industrial laws and regulations, legislated against union protection deeming it as militant so expecting this government to support the CFMEU in its role to protect workers is beyond its political ethic let alone it moral ethic.

Blame however is not one sided. Union and non union workers too have traded off conditions, hard fought conditions by previous workers for the mighty dollars and here too the chook has come home to roost.

This industry and many others need a reset, but it will take workers to wake up the unions have a extremely important role in making sure the family unit is protected when you go to your place of employment and that is about to be challenged on the floor of Parliament.

No other business or company is required by law to protect people and conditions in their industry without any contribution. Unions have role yet the non members still get the benefits the payers have won. . Fair? You be the judge but remember when your in your lunch room, or on holidays or on sick or compensation or pension some one had to fight for you to have that.

It’s All about the $$$ in the Falou case.

I’ve watched, listened, and tried to digest this Falou shenanigans go backward and forwards with little or no retreat from whatever side you choose to hang your allegiance.

Not carrying any religious allegiance other than to the human race I choose to look at the facts from the start and ask the questions, however hard they may be.

Firstly, does a person have the right to follow his or hers own beliefs? Answer Yes.

Does a person have the right to impose those beliefs on any other person ? Answer No.

Religion is a choice a individual makes, nothing more as is the choice to not follow a religious tribe, so judging a person by his or hers decision or point of view is dependant of what tribe you follow or don’t is a bias exercise regardless.

Who’s right and who’s wrong is the story of mankind, but religions do not have a mortgage on being human and believing in the rights and wrongs of hurting each other be with words or actions.

Falou hurt people with words, that’s wrong, full stop. I can’t stand outside a place of worship in the public domain and accuse people of wrong doing because of their belief or sexuality I would get arrested for persecution among other things.

The fact he was warned and then breached that warning cannot be covered up by justifying lack of free speech.. He knew exactly what the repercussions would be so he pressed the boundary and then he played the sympathy vote.

It cannot go unsaid that some still will not accept the Yes Vote in the referendum, and that’s their choice, but I cannot see why a millionaire should be publicly funded by a tax free charity with public funds when I thought a non for profit organisation role was to help the less fortunate. Those donations will also be a tax rebate, so is this entire exercise all about money right from the start?

Truth should not be the Casualty

The party’s over and now the combatants are celebrating, commiserating, and looking inward on their way forward and I have to ask , does the media do their reviews on their performance through the entire exercise.?

Starting with our Qt, my little exercise in media watchdogging rated the slant 45% LNP, 34% Alp, and 20% independent less the decimals which is what I regard as pretty balanced compared with other outlets within their conglomerate.

My concern was truth and the line between it, opinion, and downright lies.

I appreciate the media outlets printed and digital are struggling to survive but as the third state surely they have a obligation to identify and reject basic lies as part of ethical obligations.

Looking at the Presidential type of campaign run by our PM, I do not want to see our medial be dragged down to what we see in America where truth is no longer a qualification for broadcast, its who pays the most to spread the spin.
