My Unconditional Mate

Well it’s 11 days since my new hip nick named “Francis”as it was installed the same time as the Pope, and things are moving along quite well.
Slowly the body is allowing me to progress movement with diminishing help from medication, and after you can actually feel the strength returning.
One thing that is really worth mentioning is the behaviour of my “dog” or probably better referred to as my best mate.
On arrival home from hospital she knew something was amiss and stood back for about 30 minutes observing my new body language and movements on crutches.
After she was comfortable she then approached me with caution not to lean or pressure the right side of the body and just let you know she was around.
When settled I called her and she sat down beside me in the chair and just leaned ever so lightly and gave me a lick on face.
Being Great Dane Ridgeback Cross that was not a big deal, as when seated she can nearly look eye to eye, and since then she has accompanied me regardless making sure she is out of the way yet present.
I have always had a dog in my life, and would be lost when not having one. All reasonably smart in their own way, all with unconditional love to our family.
This one Ebbs is exceptional in as I have had many terriers, Ebony seems to have a knowledge of how moods change in her Pack she sees as Me, the Wife and Her.
When you are in recovery mode you do spend the little extra time you have to observe what you really have, a break to our life routine developed from repetition, and time to take stock on what we should prioritise in the future.

Getting to Know My Body

Well I have never had major surgery and I don’t know about you I was very apprehensive about my upcoming ordeal.
Now its done and dusted, I did not realise how well the body goes to work when its put under the pump.
I thought I was in charge of my body up until then, I knew the signs and triggers, but no way it told me what I was going to do and when and no way could I override the instructions to if I tried I would pay a price of pain.
The staff all know, the medics know, you jus got to accept you are not bulletproof.
One can only commend the Nurses, Doctors, Surgeons, phisio’s, cooks and cleaners all putting it together to make a orthopaedic ward work.
You need to be special people to work in those wards and get the best out of their patients recovery.
Anyway no time for sitting here stiffening up, it’s time for exercise and more exercise to get through the barrier or all will be lost….

Ya Can’t Eat Money!

Well I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of politicians playing party games with me and my families life.
Regardless of our political views we appoint governments to govern democratically firstly then with the populations best interest across the country.
Yeah , I know, that’s a dream but I believe we are now subject to the crackpots particularly from the right pushing ideology over their responsibility to the social standing of the vast majority.
Yes I do have social conscious and don’t believe a population should be based on a set of numbers some nerd has come up with in a suit.
Governments should have a responsibility to improving the societies, health, climate, living conditions, food quality, the basic thing we need for survival on this planet.
You can’t eat money!
Keeping that thought what is all we hear day in day out from these politicians? Money, money, money. Bottom line Government… Or race to the bottom..
No health no Life.
But to be honest it greed isn’t it? The battle for the top of the tree, ego, power, wealth rules of a few big players in business and religion reinforces that justification.
They control the politicians, the churches, the media so non compliance often is regarded being branded as a danger to “their society”.
That’s about my rant for the day but maybe we think a little bit harder next time we go to the polls, and think of our societies best interest instead of just my best interest…. Your kids may thank you for that one day……

All Logied Out

Well I hope your all Logied out by now and able to sit down and have a cup of tea.
Well what did we see yesterday that we have not seen before?
May is suggest nothing, just the actors have had a change. Same old talk it up,dress it up,ho hum we have to go through to make a few egos bigger and give the parasites of pizzas self justification.
Yes they are in a profession, a good one when your in work and not so good when your not, and you do have to make hay when its your turn if your lucky enough to get a gong, but why is it that different to any other tradesman or tradeswomen winning a contract to support their livelihood?
No, unlike the impersonators, they have to be themselves, no one writes their scrips, tells them where to stand and dress, or say.
I suppose I am being a little harsh but far to often these actors/impersonators do have far to much impact on the gullible. Some unfortunates think they are real! Some worship them as gods!
It seems once you go into a movie you are supposed to leave reality out the door, and that’s fine but when you forget to pick it up after the movie that’s when all of us are in strife.
Even our so called political leaders are quoting script from movies to enhance their standing amongst the numb nuts, actors talking to chairs and lets not go near the singers who get movie gigs.
We wonder why our kids get stupid ideas, do stupid things they see a vast majority of adults incapable or unwilling to accept the difference between fantasy ,fiction and fact and I concede many actors do excellent charity work, they and their industry need to remind the public they are only playing a part, and its not life.
